What’s up everyone,
This is pre-day 1 of our new positive thought forming newsletter. These messages will hit your email, Monday - Friday. I recommend that we all read our newsletter at the beginning of our working day, before we have to start producing at work but don’t open this newsletter until after your first hour of “you time”.
Dream Cultivate Create Presents: Moonshinez Happy Hour, healthy is wealthy.
Starting off our day:
Different companies from Forbes.com and Tinybuddah.com, from the Huffpost to The Washington Times, will include an article or two about productivity and the most productive way to start your day.
Journal your thoughts:
One reoccurring message, found on the above mentioned web sources and from various interviews is the idea of organizing and recording your thoughts before going to bed. The theory behind this is that our human brain is set to recognize progress, the human brain doesn’t differentiate between real vs imaginary (bringing us to the next strategy).
Personal usage - I personally have noticed a difference between recording my thoughts at night before bed and my morning. For me, I am still working on a formula of consistency because my bedtime varies.
Visualize your day:
Visualization seems to be getting a lot of recognition these days. Its funny because when you really think about it, at some point or another we have all visualized something happening. For example: Have you ever been in a parking lot and just hoped that you would be in that favorite spot of yours? Then, somehow you got it!
I won’t dive deeply into the law of attraction, however I am pretty sure that, universal laws (some sources refer to the 7 Universal Laws and other’s mention 12) do absolutely hold value in this dimension.
Personal usage - Visualizing your day can start anywhere, from your bed to you car, while in the potty, or right before a workout.
Practice Gratitude:
Gratitude is by far the best attitude and it is a muscle that I am bench pressing, squatting, and curling. Gratitude starts from within, and if you are someone who has a trouble seeing past what they are lacking and instead focus on counting your blessings, fret not! There is hope for you, young warrior.
“Stormy or sunny days, glorious or lonely nights, I maintain an attitude of gratitude.” Empress Maya Angelou
Personal usage - Black women in my experience have been some of the most grateful beings that I have ever met. If there is someone that can teach you about gratitude it is a celestial black woman.
Intake/Absorb positivity:
Whether its a positive song or positive news, maybe spending time with your loved ones, whatever the case may be start with something positive.
Don’t pick up the phone first thing! Allow your mind to examine your immediate surroundings, enjoy the darkness (unless you sleep with lights on), and enjoy the quietness or the sounds nearest to you.
Be mindful of your environment and of your blessings, love yourself and hug yourself.
